Alejandro Aguirre received his MFA at Boston University, where he was awarded a Robert Pinsky Global Fellowship and the Academy of American Poets Prize. His poems have been selected as finalists for Nimrod's Pablo Neruda Prize and the Atlanta Review's Dan Veach Prize—and are published/forthcoming in Rattle, the Oxford Review of Books, Hampden-Sydney Poetry Review, Louisiana Literature, Hawai’i Pacific Review, and elsewhere.
